1 Data relate to production workers in mining and logging and
manufacturing, construction workers in construction, and nonsupervisory workers
in the service-providing industries. These groups account for approximately
four-fifths of total employment on private nonfarm payrolls.
NOTE: These data have been revised to reflect the new employment benchmarks
and the updating of seasonal adjustment factors in the CES survey and
new seasonal experience in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners
and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) from January 2004 through December 2008
p = preliminary.
