Private industry employment up 2.6 percent over the year ending March 2015

From March 2014 to March 2015, total nonfarm employment increased by 3.1 million or 2.3 percent. Employment in private industry increased by 3 million jobs, or 2.6 percent. Within private industry, employment in goods-producing industries increased by 2.5 percent, while employment in service-providing industries rose 2.7 percent.
