Producer Price Index for final demand goods and services in June 2015

The Producer Price Index for final demand decreased 0.7 percent for the 12 months ended June 2015. This was the fifth straight 12-month decrease. The index for final demand goods decreased 3.7 percent, led by a 17.9-percent decline in prices for final demand energy.

The index for final demand services increased 0.8 percent from June 2014 to June 2015. The index for trade services, which measures changes in the margins wholesalers and retailers receive, increased 1.3 percent. Prices for transportation and warehousing services decreased 2.2 percent, the fourth straight 12-month decrease.
