In 2022, Hawaii women who were full-time wage and salary workers had median usual weekly earnings of $963, or 84.8 percent of the $1,136 median usual weekly earnings of their male counterparts.
Prices in the West Region, as measured by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), advanced 0.4 percent in February, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.
In 2023, the broadest measure of labor underutilization, designated U-6, was 6.1 percent in Hawaii state, not significantly different than the 6.9-percent rate for the nation.
