What is the status of the Mass Layoff Statistics (MLS) program?

Funding for the Mass Layoff Statistics (MLS) program has been restored, effective with the President's signing of the Omnibus Appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2003.  The MLS program had been discontinued on December 31, 2002, due to lack of funding.

The MLS program has returned to its regular publication schedule. Both the monthly and quarterly mass layoff statistics time series were continued from the point of interruption.
