Corrections to news release "Regional and State Employment and Unemployment: January 2005" and to LA database

The news release, "Regional and State Employment and Unemployment: January 2005," USDL 05-384, was reissued on Thursday, March 17, 2005, to correct errors in the preliminary January 2005 labor force data for Puerto Rico in Tables 3 and 4. No other data were affected.  The erroneous data resulted from a processing error.

The corrections to the data for Puerto Rico were small; for example, the correction to the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 0.2 percentage point.

The preliminary January 2005 labor force data for Puerto Rico in the LA database were also corrected on March 17, 2005, and can be accessed at http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/outside.jsp?survey=la.
