Median weekly earnings designate position in the earnings distribution at which one-half of the earnings are paid the same as or more than the rate shown and half are paid the same as or less than the rate shown. Mean weekly hours are the hours an employee is scheduled to work in a week, exclusive of overtime. 3 Mean annual earnings are the straight-time annual wages or salaries paid to employees.
