The remaining 46 components had 3-month increases in June 2021 and are assigned a value of 100 when the diffusion index is calculated. With increasing components outnumbering decreasing components 46 to 5, taking the average of all components results in an all-states 3-month diffusion index value of 90.2 for June 2021.
