Nonfatal workplace injury and illness rates down over the past decade

Private industry employers reported 3.0 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses in 2013. The rate of injuries and illnesses was 3.3 cases for every 100 full-time workers. Except in 2012, this rate has declined each year for more than a decade.
