Renaming of select data series

We have renamed the following series starting August 2020. The data in these series are not changing, the title changes merely reflect the research nature of the series.

  • CPI-E to R-CPI-E (CPI for Americans 62 years of age and older)
  • CPI-U-RS to R-CPI-U-RS and from 'Research Series' to 'Retroactive Series'
  • CPI-XNV to R-CPI-U-NV (CPI new vehicles research index)
  • CPI-XL to R-CPI-U-L (CPI using Laspeyres arithmetic means)
  • CPI-XG to R-CPI-U-G (CPI using geometric means)
