Bureau of Labor Statistics Virtual Data Users Conference — October 5, 2023

The Data Users Conference is an event held by the Bureau of Labor Statistics Mid-Atlantic regional office to showcase the labor market data available to the public and provide insight on the different ways labor market data can be used to analyze the U.S. economy. Join the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on October 5th from 9:00 a.m.–12:10 p.m. ET.

This year the Bureau of Labor Statistics is working closely with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and the Virginia Employment Commission to bring you the latest information on the U.S. labor market.

Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Research Economist, Joseph Mengedoth will provide an overview of the Mid-Atlantic economy and insight on how the Federal Reserve Bank uses BLS data. Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Survey Director Jason Kosakow will discuss emerging economic changes in the regional economy using the latest data from different Federal Reserve Bank business surveys. BLS Office of Employment Research and Program Development Economist Alison Aughinbaugh will present information to help us better understand telework and remote work trends. Office of Prices and Living Conditions Associate Commissioner Jeffrey Hill provide the latest information available on inflation and economic changes associated with inflation.

Each presentation will be followed by a five minute Q & A period.
