The largest over-the-year unemployment rate increase in February 2024 occurred in Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina, Hawaii (+2.7 percentage points). Forty-eight other areas had rate increases of at least 1.0 percentage point. Barnstable Town, Massachusetts, and Ocean City, New Jersey, had the largest over-the-year rate decreases in February (–1.1 percentage points each).
