Case Type

A 1-digit code that identifies the specific summary estimate case type. The case types are defined by the OSH recordkeeping guidelines and include total recordable cases (1), lost workday cases (2), cases involving days away from work (3), cases involving days of restricted work activity only (4), and cases without lost workdays (8).

Data Type

A 1-digit code that identifies a case type summary estimate as including injuries only (1), illnesses only (0), or injuries and illnesses combined (3).

Division

A numeric representation of the major industry divisions as described in the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) manual, 1987 Edition.

Industry

A Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code as described in the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) manual, 1987 Edition.
