Employment up in all 50 states over the year ended April 2021

From April 2020 to April 2021, nonfarm payroll employment increased in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The largest job increases occurred in California (+1,302,100), New York (+1,029,800), and Texas (+1,007,100). The largest percentage increases occurred in Michigan (+21.1 percent), Nevada (+17.6 percent), and Rhode Island (+17.1 percent).
