Among the major occupational groups, the telework rates (the number of people who teleworked or worked at home for pay as a percentage of people who were working) were highest in November 2023 for people at work in management, professional, and related occupations (34.8 percent) and sales and office occupations (21.6 percent). Telework rates in these two occupational groups were considerably higher than all others: service occupations (4.0 percent), production, transportation, and material moving occupations (2.5 percent), and natural resources, construction, and maintenance occupations (2.3 percent).

Within management, professional, and related occupations, telework rates in November 2023 ranged from 10.1 percent for workers in health care practitioners and technical occupations to 64.9 percent for workers in computer and mathematical occupations.
