Export prices up 18.0 percent from October 2020 to October 2021, largest advance on record

Prices for U.S. exports rose 18.0 percent from October 2020 to October 2021. The increase was the largest since BLS first published 12-month percent changes for U.S. export prices in September 1984. Higher prices for both nonagricultural and agricultural exports contributed to the year-over-year advance. Nonagricultural export prices rose 17.2 percent over the past 12 months. Over the same period, prices for agricultural exports advanced 24.5 percent.
