U.S. import prices advanced 0.4 percent in July following a 0.1-percent decrease in June. Prices for U.S. exports rose 0.1 percent in July, after increasing 0.5 percent the previous month. Over the past year, import prices declined 0.2 percent and export prices increased 2.2 percent.
