Overview of BLS Data on Minimum Wage Workers

BLS data on minimum wage workers are summarized in an annual report, Characteristics of Minimum Wage Workers, which has tables showing data for workers with hourly earnings at or below the prevailing Federal minimum wage. The report has information by occupation, industry, educational attainment, age, sex, race and Hispanic or Latino ethnicity, state of residence, and other characteristics of workers and their jobs.

Articles in the Monthly Labor Review have more information and analysis. See the archive for articles on earnings and wages or search for "minimum wage."
