Producer Price Index Program Updates Available Indexes for October 2026
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) periodically updates, on a rolling basis, a subset of the sample of producers that provide data to the Producer Price Index (PPI) program. These updates better reflect current conditions when the structure, membership, technology, or product mix of industries shift, and can result in the addition, deletion, or recoding of producer price indexes. The list of expected index updates effective with the October 2026 PPI data release on November 13, 2026, is provided below. Please note that this is a draft list. The final list of index additions, deletions, and recodes effective October 2026, will be available on November 13 in the October 2026 issue of the PPI Detailed Report online at www.bls.gov/ppi/detailed-report/ppi-detailed-report-october-2026.pdf.
