Removal of 2021 PPI Annual Average data from the BLS Database
On January 14, 2022, the Producer Price Index (PPI) discovered that due to a processing error, all 2021 PPI preliminary annual average data, originally posted on January 13, 2022, were calculated incorrectly. PPI promptly removed these data from the BLS website and expects to post updated annual average data with the release of January 2022 PPI data on February 15, 2022.
Please note, this error only affected the 2021 annual averages. All monthly data, as well as annual averages prior to 2021, are correct.
