The U.S. Business Response Survey to the Coronavirus Pandemic is a new survey designed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics to measure the response of U.S. businesses to the coronavirus pandemic beginning January 1, 2020.
The survey seeks to capture changes in U.S. business establishments as a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic, with a focus on what changes establishments made to maintain business operations. This critical information will complement the standard economic data BLS and the federal statistical system will publish for the same time period, and allow policy makers and data users to make informed decisions.

The survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete including verifying the business’ mailing and physical location addresses and main business activity. Your voluntary cooperation is needed to make the results of this survey complete, accurate, and timely.
The U.S. Business Response Survey is approved with O.M.B. No. 1220-0197. The Bureau of Labor Statistics, its employees, agents, and partner statistical agencies, will use the information you provide for statistical purposes only and will hold the information in confidence to the full extent permitted by law. In accordance with the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act of 2002 (Title 5 of Public Law 107-347) and other applicable Federal laws, your responses will not be disclosed in identifiable form without your informed consent. Per the Federal Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2015, Federal information systems are protected from malicious activities through cybersecurity screening of transmitted data.
