A054 AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERS
Apply engineering technology and knowledge of biological sciences to agricultural problems concerned with power and machinery, electrification, structures, soil and water conservation, and processing of agricultural products. Develop criteria for design of equipment, structures, and facilities. May be involved in programs to provide assistance to farmers or related farm cooperatives. Workers are usually designated according to area of specialty or product. (Work requires knowledge of engineering equivalent to at least that acquired through completion of a 4-year college engineering program.)
