A085 DENTISTS
Must be a licensed Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). These occupations are concerned with examination, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of ailments or abnormalities of gums, jaws, soft tissues and teeth. May include performing oral surgery. Include the following occupations:

Dentists—-Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums, and related oral structures.

Endodontists—-Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth.

Oral Surgeons—-Perform surgery on mouth and jaws. Execute difficult and multiple extraction of teeth, remove tumors and other abnormal growths.

Orthodontists—-Examine, diagnose, and treat abnormalities of jaw development, position of teeth, and other dental-facial structures and plan and provide treatment.

May be designated according to speciality as: Pedodontists, Periodontists, or Prosthodontists.
