- Instruct secondary (grades 9-12) school students through lectures, demonstrations, or visual aids in one or more subjects such as English, mathematics, or social studies. Prepare teaching outlines, assign lessons, administer tests, keep attendance and grade records, and maintain order and discipline. May counsel students in adjustment and academic problems. May sponsor and supervise student organizations, activities, and programs. Include all junior and senior high school teachers as well as secondary school athletic coaches.
