Archivists—-Appraise and edit permanent records and historically valuable documents. Participate in research activities based on archival materials and direct safekeeping of permanent records and documents, and other archival materials.

Curators—-Direct and coordinate activities that occur in operating an exhibiting institution such as a museum, botanical garden, arboretum, art gallery, etc. May also conduct scientific research programs.
