Receive orders for classified advertising for newspaper or magazine by telephone or in person. Talk to customers to determine wording and dates of publication of classified advertisement. Determine word, line or day rates, using rate schedule and calculate total charge for customer. Assign box number for anonymous advertisements. Collect payments for advertisements. Mark expired advertisements and check others for date.
