Control and operate heat-treating equipment to alter physical and chemical properties by subjecting to heat, cold, or chemicals by affecting such characteristics as hardness, flexibility, and ductility. May also control oil, gas, or electrical furnace to heat stock, such as billets, bars, plates and rods, preparatory to forging, following work order specifications.
