Spinners—-Tend spinning frame to draw out and twist roving or sliver into yarn. Patrol work area observing spinning to detect nearly exhausted supply packages and breaks in yarn, roving, and sliver. Pick up breaks in yarn, roving and sliver, and replace nearly exhausted supply packages with full packages.

Twisters—-Tend machines to twist together two or more strands of yarn or to insert additional twist into single strand of yarn to increase strength, smoothness, and uniformity of yarn.

Winders—-Tend automatic yarn-winding machines, equipped with stationary knotters and traveling winding units that move around machine, to transfer yarn from bobbins to cones to tubes.
