Abstract
The Current Employment Statistics (SYS) survey is a monthly panel survey of over 390,000 business establishments. The survey publishes key economic statistics including employment, average hourly earnings, and average weekly earnings for the nation, as well as by industry, state and area. The employment estimates are closely watched by businesses, financial markets and policy-makers as a leading economic indicator.
