Abstract

The Telephone Point of Purchase Survey is a list-assisted RDD survey with a four-quarter rotating panel design. This paper studies the effect of prenotification letters in the first of four interviews on response rates in the first quarter, as well as any residual positive benefit in subsequent interviews.
