2018 CPI Geographic Revision to affect publication of four cities in the Midwest Region.

As announced on www.bls.gov/cpi, publication of the CPI for the following Midwest cities will be affected by the 2018 CPI Geographic Revision:

Cleveland-Akron, Ohio; Cincinnati-Hamilton, Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana; and Milwaukee-Racine, Wisconsin, will no longer be published after 2017 data reference periods.

  • Cleveland’s final release will be for the month of November 2017, scheduled for publication on December 13, 2017.
  • Cincinnati’s and Milwaukee’s final releases will be for the second-half average and annual average 2017, scheduled for release in January 2018.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota-Wisconsin, will go from semi-annual publication to bi-monthly publication. It will be published for the odd numbered months starting with January 2018 data in February 2018.
