Iowa had 81,000 job openings in August 2024, compared to 71,000 openings in July, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.
In 2023, Iowa women who were full-time wage and salary workers had median usual weekly earnings of $921, significantly below the $1,128 median usual weekly earnings of their male counterparts.
Prices in the Midwest Region, as measured by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), were unchanged in September.
