What's Coming Next
Launching the NLSY27
Beginning in 2027, we will start recruiting a nationally representative group of youth aged 11–17 to take part in the NLSY27.
If your household is selected to participate:
- We will ask an adult in your household to share the ages of all the people who live in your household. Those aged 11–17 may be eligible for the survey.
- If there is someone in your household who may be eligible, we will ask a parent or caregiver a few additional questions to confirm their eligibility.
- If the eligible youth agrees to participate and their parent gives permission, we will schedule interviews with both the youth and the parent. Each interview will take about 1-1.5 hours.
