Having trouble accessing the "One-Screen" Data Search tool after the recent Java upgrade?

"One-Screen" Data Search tool not working with Chrome?

1. Open Chrome
2. In the address bar at the top of the screen, type chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
3. In the window that opens, click the link that says Enable under the Enable NPAPI flag: (Disable link will display afterwards)

4. In the address bar at the top of the screen, type chrome://plugins/
5. Disable the PepperFlash player plug-in (Box is greyed out and Enable link displays afterwards)

6. Restart Chrome, and click on the "One-Screen" Data Search icon for the database of your choice.

Note: After the release of Chrome version 45, you'll need to use an alternate web browser to load content that requires a NPAPI plugin.

1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel › Java
2. From the Java Control Panel, select the “Security” tab, click on the “Edit Site List” and add http://data.bls.gov
3. Restart your browser, and click on the "One-Screen" Data Search icon for the database of your choice.

1. Open Firefox
2. Click on the "One-Screen" Data Search icon for the database name you desire
3. Click on the “Activate Java” link



4. Click on the “Allow and Remember” button

Internet Explorer

1. Click Tools and then Internet Options
2. Select the Security tab, and select the Custom Level button
3. Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets
4. Make sure the Enable radio button is checked
5. Click OK to save your preference
6. Restart your browser, and click on the “One-Screen” Data Search icon for the database of your choice.

Chrome

1. Enter about:plugins in the search field.
2. In the Plug-ins list, look for Java and check whether Java is enabled (if the Disable link appears, Java is already enabled)
3. Click on the Enable link (if available)
4. (Optional) Check the Always allowed box to stop additional Chrome warnings when running Java content
5. Restart your browser, and click on the "One-Screen" Data Search icon for the database of your choice.

Firefox

1. Open the Firefox browser or restart it, if it is already running
2. From the Firefox menu, select Tools, then click the Add-ons option
3. In the Add-ons Manager window, select Plugins
4. Click Java (TM) Platform plugin (Windows) or Java Applet Plug-in (Mac OS X) to select it
5. Check that the option selected is Ask to Activate or Always Activate or on older Firefox versions, click on the Enable button (if the button says Disable, Java is already enabled)
6. Restart your browser, and click on the "One-Screen" Data Search icon for the database of your choice.
