Every year the Occupational Outlook Handbook provides updated information on projected job growth over the next ten years. The Most New Jobs ranking includes the projected number of new jobs and median pay per occupation for the 20 occupations with the highest projected numeric change in employment within a ten-year period. Work levels provide insight into the range of duties and responsibilities for an occupation and are determined by assessing four factors: knowledge, job controls and complexity, contacts (nature and purpose), and the physical environment. During data collection, points are assigned for each of the four factors and then totaled to determine the work levels of the occupation.
