BLS Seeking Comments on Upcoming Changes to Import and Export Price Indexes
As a data user of the Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) Import and Export Price Indexes, your feedback is important to us. BLS invites you to comment on the technical approach to an upcoming major revision in the sources and methods used to estimate the Import and Export Price Indexes. The revision will increase the number of publishable price indexes and will significantly reduce respondent burden. Your input is valuable as the BLS works to improve the quality and quantity of the Import and Export Price Indexes by replacing directly collected survey data with administrative trade records for select product areas.
