2026 Publication Changes

Each year, BLS reviews all Import and Export Price Indexes to verify that publication criteria are met for quality assurance and confidentiality protection. The review of 2025 price indexes excluded information for October 2025, due to the lapse in appropriations.

As a result of the review, BLS changed the publication status for many price indexes. BLS will introduce 35 previously unpublished price indexes, and discontinue 67 previously published price indexes. These publication status changes will be instated with the release of the January 2026 indexes on March 5, 2026.

Newly published export and import price indexes. These price indexes have a base of December 2025 = 100 and will be published for December 2025 onward.
