Florida: Price Movements of Top Exports and Other Highlights

July 2026

Exports from Florida totaled $78.9 billion in 2025, up 8.9 percent from 2024. The price index for the top export industry in Florida, transportation equipment manufacturing, increased in June. Export prices for computer and electronic product manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, and machinery manufacturing advanced over the same period.

Top Six Florida Exports by Trade Dollar Value, 2025

  • Florida exports represented 3.6 percent of the U.S. export total in 2025.
  • Florida accounted for 5.6 percent of total U.S. exports of transportation equipment manufacturing by trade dollar value in 2025, ranking eighth among all states.
  • The top 6 export industries from Florida accounted for 74.1 percent of the state’s total 2025 export trade dollar value.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Transportation Equipment Manufacturing

  • The price index for export transportation equipment manufacturing increased 0.5 percent in June.
  • Transportation equipment manufacturing export prices rose 2.1 percent for the 12 months ended June 2026.
  • A 3.4-percent rise in prices for aerospace product and parts manufacturing contributed to the 12-month advance in prices for export transportation equipment manufacturing.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing

  • Computer and electronic product manufacturing export prices increased 0.6 percent in June.
  • Export computer and electronic product manufacturing prices advanced 3.9 percent for the 12 months ended June 2026.
  • The 12-month rise in export prices for computer and electronic product manufacturing was driven by a 6.2-percent increase in prices for export computer and peripheral equipment manufacturing.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Chemical Manufacturing

  • Export chemical manufacturing prices advanced 0.3 percent in June.
  • The price index for chemical manufacturing exports increased 7.1 percent over the past year.
  • A 17.4-percent rise in prices for resin, synthetic rubber, and artificial synthetic fibers manufacturing contributed to the advance in prices for export chemical manufacturing in June.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Machinery Manufacturing

  • The price index for export machinery manufacturing advanced 0.2 percent in June.
  • Export machinery manufacturing prices increased 3.4 percent from June 2025 to June 2026.
  • A 7.2-percent advance in prices for commercial and service industry machinery manufacturing contributed to the 12-month rise in prices for export machinery manufacturing.
