Georgia: Price Movements of Top Exports and Other Highlights

Exports from Georgia totaled $60.3 billion in 2025, an increase of 12.8 percent from 2024. The price index for the largest export industry in Georgia, transportation equipment manufacturing, increased in September. Export prices for computer and electronic product manufacturing as well as chemical manufacturing also advanced in September. Over the same period, prices for export machinery manufacturing edged down.

Top Six Georgia Exports by Trade Dollar Value, 2025

  • Overall exports from Georgia represented 2.8 percent of the U.S. total export trade dollar value in 2025.
  • Georgia accounted for 5.9 percent of total U.S. exports of transportation equipment manufacturing by trade dollar value in 2025.
  • The top 6 export industries from Georgia accounted for 73.8 percent of the state’s total 2025 export trade dollar value.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Transportation Equipment Manufacturing

  • The price index for export transportation equipment manufacturing increased 0.4 percent in September.
  • Transportation equipment manufacturing export prices rose 2.6 percent for the 12 months ended September 2026.
  • A 4.8-percent rise in prices for motor vehicle body and trailer manufacturing contributed to the 12-month advance in prices for export transportation equipment manufacturing.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing

  • Computer and electronic product manufacturing export prices increased 1.3 percent in September.
  • Export computer and electronic product manufacturing prices advanced 6.2 percent for the 12 months ended September 2026.
  • The 12-month rise in export prices for computer and electronic product manufacturing was driven by a 13.8-percent increase in prices for export computer and peripheral equipment manufacturing.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Machinery Manufacturing

  • The price index for export machinery manufacturing edged down 0.1 percent in September.
  • Export machinery manufacturing prices increased 2.4 percent from September 2025 to September 2026.
  • A 6.8-percent advance in prices for commercial and service industry machinery manufacturing contributed to the 12-month rise in prices for export machinery manufacturing.

U.S. Export Price Indexes: Chemical Manufacturing

  • Export chemical manufacturing prices advanced 0.6 percent in September.
  • A 1.6-percent rise in prices for resin, synthetic rubber, and artificial synthetic fibers manufacturing contributed to the advance in prices for export chemical manufacturing in September.
  • The price index for chemical manufacturing exports increased 6.3 percent over the past year.
