A160 SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Lead or instruct students during the absence of a regular teacher. Included in this definition are "Day to Day", "Long-term", and other types of substitute teachers, who do NOT have employment contracts with the school but teach while contract teachers are out due to illness, short term absence, sabbatical leave, or other types of absences. Include individuals substituting at pre-kindergarten, elementary, and secondary schools.

Note: Substitute teachers working as floaters WITH employment contracts with the school should be classified as Elementary Teachers (A156), Secondary Teachers (A157), or Teachers N.E.C. (A159) as applicable.
