An evaluation of labor force projections to 1985

Among the five rounds of projections of the 1985 labor force conducted between 1970 and 1980, those produced in 1978 yielded results closest to actual 1985 values. Because the labor force projections are used in a variety of ways, there must be several criteria used to evaluate them.
