The Producer Price Index for final demand fell 1.6 percent for the 12 months ended in October 2015 (not seasonally adjusted), a record 12-month decline for this index, which starts with data for November 2009.

From October 2014 to October 2015, the index for final demand goods moved down 4.8 percent. Within final demand goods, the foods index decreased 4.2 percent over the year, while the energy index decreased 21.5 percent. Prices for final demand goods less foods and energy decreased 0.1 percent.
The index for final demand services increased 0.1 percent and the construction index was up 2.3 percent over the same 12-month period.
