Prices for U.S. imports rose 4.1 percent for the year ended in April 2017. The price index for import fuel increased 42.7 percent over the past year, in contrast to a 31.7-percent decline for the previous 12-month period ended in April 2016.

Prices for nonfuel imports increased 1.1 percent for the year ended in April 2017, compared with a decrease of 2.0 percent for the year ended in April 2016
Foods, feeds, and beverages prices increased 3.3 and prices for consumer goods increased 0.2 percent over the year ended in April 2017.
