Seasonally adjusted median weekly earnings of full-time wage and salary workers were $854 in the fourth quarter of 2017. Median earnings for the fourth quarter of 2017 were 0.9 percent higher than the $846 of a year earlier, compared with an increase of 2.1 percent in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U). Median weekly earnings in the fourth quarter of 2017 were down from the previous quarter's $866.
