The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 0.8 percent for the 12 months ended November 2020. Prices for final demand goods, which account for 32.7 percent of the Producer Price Index, decreased 0.8 percent over the year ended November 2020. Final demand services, with a weight of 65.5 percent, increased 1.5 percent from November 2019 to November 2020.

Within the goods category, final demand foods, which have a weight of 5.7 percent, increased 1.2 percent. Prices for final demand energy goods, with a weight of 5.3 percent, decreased 11.2 percent over the year. Prices for other final demand goods (final demand goods less food and energy), which have a weight of 21.6 percent, increased 1.3 percent.
Within the services category, prices for final demand trade services (with a weight of 20.3 percent) increased 3.1 percent over the year. Prices for final demand transportation and warehousing services (weight of 4.7 percent) decreased 4.6 percent. Prices for final demand services less trade, transportation, and warehousing (weight of 40.5 percent) increased 1.3 percent during this 12-month period.
Prices for final demand construction, which makes up 1.7 percent of total producer prices, increased 1.2 percent.
