The Producer Price Index for final demand advanced 2.4 percent from October 2023 to October 2024. Prices for final demand goods increased 0.2 percent over the year, while final demand prices for services rose 3.5 percent.

Producer prices for final demand goods included a 2.7-percent increase in prices for food and an 8.6-percent decrease in energy prices. In the services sector, prices for services less trade, transportation, and warehousing rose 4.6 percent since October 2023, while trade prices increased by 1.8 percent.
