The Producer Price Index for final demand advanced 2.9 percent from January 2025 to January 2026. Prices for final demand goods increased 1.6 percent, while prices for final demand services rose 3.4 percent.

Producer prices for final demand goods over the year ended January 2026 included a 1.2-percent decrease in prices for food and a 4.4-percent decrease in energy prices. Goods less food and energy increased 4.2 percent over the year. Within services, prices for trade rose 4.2 percent, while transportation and warehousing prices increased 2.8 percent.
