Producer Price Index Home

The Producer Price Index (PPI) program measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output. The prices included in the PPI are from the first commercial transaction for many products and some services.

PPI for final demand advances 1.1% in May; goods rise 2.8%, services increase 0.3%

The Producer Price Index for final demand rose 1.1 percent in May. Prices for final demand goods increased 2.8 percent, and the index for final demand services moved up 0.3 percent. Prices for final demand advanced 6.5 percent for the 12 months ended in May.
