The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by urban consumers for a market basket of consumer goods and services. CPI for all items falls 0.1% in March; gasoline declines

In March, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers fell 0.1 percent, seasonally adjusted, and rose 2.4 percent over the last 12 months, not seasonally adjusted. The index for all items less food and energy increased 0.1 percent in March (SA); up 2.8 percent over the year (NSA).

Over the year ended February 2025, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers increased 2.8 percent. Food prices rose 2.6 percent, while energy prices decreased 0.2 percent.
