BLS engages expert panels regarding missing Consumer Expenditure data and its impact on the Consumer Price Index
BLS has engaged the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and the Committee on National Statistics (CNSTAT) to conduct expert panels regarding approaches for handling missing October and November 2025 Consumer Expenditure data from the 2025 lapse in appropriations and its impact on the Consumer Price Index. These meetings will take place May 7 and May 8, 2026, and they are open to the public. Please see the links below for registration information.
